We have been logging our work and discussions <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mrunderwood.co.uk\/milesmeetssam\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.  As you&#8217;ll see there is a lot of discussion and development going on and I thought it pertinent to reference it here, as much of it relates to my research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whilst taking on my first ever intern at the same time as starting my first ever PhD may seem foolhardy, I am pleased to report that Miles The Intern has served to aid my work in a variety of ways and I feel he is gaining significant insight too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has challenged my thinking and preconceptions in ways that seem very positive to someone who has been working alone for over ten years now. I believe they call it a critical friend. It&#8217;s a useful thing to have. This has all helped with discussions around my work.
