{"id":366,"date":"2021-12-07T12:02:35","date_gmt":"2021-12-07T12:02:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mrunderwood.co.uk\/dev\/?p=366"},"modified":"2023-01-24T11:42:47","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T11:42:47","slug":"first-ams-live-performance-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mrunderwood.co.uk\/research\/first-ams-live-performance-video\/","title":{"rendered":"First ams live performance video"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"ams \/\/ performance #1\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/648281285?h=a2ff0a8a63&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I was asked perform with <strong><em>ams<\/em><\/strong> by the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/instrumentslab.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Augmented Instruments Lab<\/a>, as part of their event that was streamed on the 23rd of November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This represents a milestone in the development of <strong><em>ams<\/em><\/strong> as it led me to focus on the performance aspects of the instrument-system, where my focus until this point had mainly been one of technical development and exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the visual aspects of any <strong><em>ams<\/em><\/strong> performance, I was keen to document this in a way that showed the workings of the machine and me as part of it. This led to the multi-camera approach shown, which is something I hope to use to document my work in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arguably, I fell into the &#8216;use all the modules&#8217; trap but this was partly a conscious decision as I was keen to encapsulate where <strong><em>ams<\/em><\/strong> is up to at this stage; in order that I might refer back to this in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was an honour to be asked to do this by Lia Mice and the Augmented Instruments Lab, and to be part of such a vibrant and interesting event.
