Following on from our Late Junction Session (April 2019), Elliot Galvin and I stayed in touch, slowly but surely working on some sort of collaboration. This has so far included the playing and recording of some pieces by Elliot that started me customising the piano I have in my living room. Ultimately, once fully customised, I hope Elliot will visit to play the pieces again only on (and responding to) the Feedback/Activated Piano.
So far, I have attached a huge traducer to the soundboard of the piano and have been experimenting with using the damper pedal to vary the coupling of a microphone. My aim is that Elliot will be able to alter the strength of the effect using a standard piano pedal, in a way that is intuitive to him as a piano player.
