I was asked perform with ams by the Augmented Instruments Lab, as part of their event that was streamed on the 23rd of November 2021.

This represents a milestone in the development of ams as it led me to focus on the performance aspects of the instrument-system, where my focus until this point had mainly been one of technical development and exploration.

Due to the visual aspects of any ams performance, I was keen to document this in a way that showed the workings of the machine and me as part of it. This led to the multi-camera approach shown, which is something I hope to use to document my work in future.

Arguably, I fell into the ‘use all the modules’ trap but this was partly a conscious decision as I was keen to encapsulate where ams is up to at this stage; in order that I might refer back to this in future.

It was an honour to be asked to do this by Lia Mice and the Augmented Instruments Lab, and to be part of such a vibrant and interesting event. You can view the whole thing here.
