My Sonic Graffiti project builds on previous dabblings with sonic electronic devices left in public places. I am building a number of new technologies to make for exciting sounds and interactions and these are then secreted in the built environment for people to stumble across.
The first formal commission of this work was embedded in Digbeth (Birmingham) between the 23rd of September and the 29th of October 2011. Most of the pieces from this commission were removed but one – a dual oscillator optical synth built into a wall (pictured below) – remains…and at the time of writing (Jan 2016) it was still functional.
